13 Chains Talking

This short video came about the other day when i went to the play disc golf at Rockwood Central Park in Gresham, Oregon. Introducing "Chaney", one of 13chains.com spokes-agents designed to keep visitors informed about the latest updates on the site.

Chaney's first message is the sobering truth and a warning for any parent who owes child support and/or arrears. Those who can't meet their child support obligation and who's explanation doesn't impress the judge, is subject to stresses and situations a non-violent parent should never have to experience, including jail time.

Good, honest and non-violent dads are being sent to live with violent criminals in jail. This is a tragic shortcoming of the child support process and shows the lack of creativity in providing deterrents and options for them.

Now a whole cottage industry has been established to support the brutal, unfair, and cynical punishments set up by the child support system.

You will hear more and more about the inequalities set on parents paying child support. How they are being reported to credit agencies, having their passport revokes and being put in jail because nobody wants to upset the process where everyone is making money - except, of course, the paying parent.

Chaney is the first A1 agent created to inform the public of the horrible inadequacies of the child support system and promoting a grass root effort for reform - and he will not stop until we see real reform.
